Minecraft PE 1.12.0.4

Minecraft Bedrock 1.12.0.4 APK is the third beta for version 1.12.0, released in early May 2019. This build updates the main menu panorama to Village & Pillage and fixes several crashes and gameplay bugs. There are also audio improvements for raids and some trading adjustments for wandering traders and toolsmiths.

New Main Menu Panorama

The background panorama on the main menu got updated from the Update Aquatic theme to Village & Pillage. It's a visual refresh that reflects the current update's content, showing the new village style instead of underwater scenery.

Raid Audio Improvements

Ambient mob sounds during raids are now louder and more frequent, making it easier to locate where the raid mobs are. Before this change, you'd sometimes struggle to find where pillagers were spawning because the audio cues weren't clear enough. This makes raids less frustrating to navigate.

Crash Fixes

Several crash scenarios got resolved. Dedicated servers had a crash that's fixed now. Creating new template worlds would sometimes crash, which is sorted out. Nintendo Switch had a crash when suspending and resuming the game that's been addressed. There was also a general crash that could happen while navigating UI screens.

Frosted Ice Lag Fix

Frosted ice waiting to melt was causing excessive lag, which was particularly noticeable if you had Frost Walker boots and created a lot of frosted ice. That performance issue is fixed now, so walking on water with Frost Walker shouldn't cause FPS drops anymore.

Trading and Gameplay Fixes

The wandering trader no longer offers sand trades, and the toolsmith's diamond hoe cost got adjusted. The "Zombie Doctor" achievement now properly unlocks when you cure a zombie villager – before this, it would sometimes fail to trigger. Resource packs apply correctly after downloading through world or global settings instead of needing a restart. Player skins load correctly between devices now, and dates appear next to earned achievements in the achievement menu again.

Technical Fixes

For mapmakers, signs no longer break after being cloned to areas without support. Comparators that are powered when loaded, turned off for one tick, and then turned back on now correctly stop outputting power during that off tick. There was also a spawn point bug in the Mario Mash-up pack that's been corrected. Add-on creators got API documentation for the log function.
