Minecraft PE 1.13.0

Minecraft Bedrock 1.13.0 APK is a major update for Android released in late October 2019. This version completes the Village & Pillage update by adding foxes, suspicious stew, brown mooshrooms, and abandoned villages with the new architecture. The headlining feature is the character creator, which lets you customize your avatar beyond just skins. There are also significant improvements to mapmaking commands and note block sounds.

Character Creator

The character creator lets you personalize your avatar in ways that weren't possible before. You can adjust body size and shape, replace limbs, and tweak eyes, mouth, hair styles and colors, facial hair, and skin tones. Over 100 items are free, with additional custom accessories available for purchase. Traditional custom skins can still be imported on Windows 10 and mobile devices, so you're not forced to use the creator if you prefer the old system.

Foxes

Foxes spawn in taiga biomes – red foxes in regular taiga, white foxes in snowy taiga. They can be bred with sweet berries, and foxes born from player breeding will trust and defend you. Foxes pick up and carry items in their mouths, sometimes eating what they're holding. They attack chickens and rabbits while getting attacked by wolves and polar bears. It's one of those mobs that adds life to biomes that felt a bit empty before.

Suspicious Stew and Brown Mooshrooms

Suspicious stew can be crafted, found in shipwreck supply chests, bought from farmer villagers, or milked from brown mooshrooms. When eaten, it gives a status effect based on what flower was used to craft it, or a random effect if found or purchased. Brown mooshrooms spawn when lightning strikes a red mooshroom. You can feed them flowers and then milk them for suspicious stew with specific effects.

Wither Rose and Dead Coral

Wither roses drop from mobs killed by the Wither boss. They inflict the Wither effect on nearby players and mobs, making them dangerous to be around. They can be crafted into black dye. Dead coral is a gray variant that appears when coral is placed outside water or loses access to water. It can be placed on top of blocks like decorative blocks.

Note Block Sound Expansion

Note blocks got 11 new instrument sounds based on what block they're placed on:

• Iron block - Iron Xylophone
• Soul sand - Cow Bell
• Pumpkin - Didgeridoo
• Emerald block - Bit

This massively expands what's possible for music and sound design in custom maps.

Structure Blocks and Mapmaking

Structure void blocks are now available through experimental gameplay. They're invisible blocks that indicate air spaces in structures without overwriting existing blocks when the structure loads. If you load a structure with structure void at the bottom into a stone area, the stone remains instead of being replaced. Light blocks are available through commands and support auxiliary data from 0 to 15 for different light levels.

Commands got significant improvements for mapmakers. Tab-complete works for coordinate commands now, making it easier to write position-based commands. The new `PersistComponent` command handles mob persistence. The `/summon` command has a `nameTag` argument for summoning named entities directly.

Abandoned Villages Return

Abandoned (zombie) villages are back in world generation, but now they use the Village & Pillage architecture instead of the old village design. They're rarer than normal villages and spawn with zombie villagers instead of regular ones.

Accessibility and Chat Improvements

Accessibility settings can be accessed from in-game chat now and the menu got revamped. There's an option to disable auto-enabling Text-To-Speech when your platform has it enabled. You can change chat color and font, and disable the chat prompt that appears when entering worlds. A new font appears in some menus too.

Credits and New Achievement

Game credits can be viewed after defeating the Ender Dragon or through a button in Profile Settings. There's a new achievement called "Time for Stew" worth 20G for giving someone a suspicious stew. PlayStation-related assets and translation strings got added to the game files, hinting at future platform support.
